Ingredients for Cooking Citrus Salmon
- Salmon (or other red fish) fillet 4 pieces (1 large)
- Chili powder 1 teaspoon
- Caraway seeds 1/2 teaspoon
- 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
- Orange 1 piece
- Lime 1 piece
- Honey 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil optional
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Main Ingredients: Salmon, Salmon, Orange, Lime, Honey
- Serving 4 servings
Inventory:
Plate, baking sheet, oven, grater, whisk, teaspoon.
Cooking:
Step 1: prepare the fish fillet.

Step 2: prepare the citrus sauce.

In a bowl, mix the ground spices for the marinade.

Rub the same zest of orange.

And lime zest too. Just do not get to the white part.

Add salt to taste and ground black pepper for flavor.

Now cut the peeled lime in half and squeeze the juice out of it.

Squeeze an orange the same way.

Add viscous (always liquid) honey to the marinade.

Take a whisk and beat well. Mostly you need to ensure that the citrus juice and honey are combined. If you mix them, then all other spices are mixed even more.
Step 3: pickle salmon.

Step 4: bake citrus salmon.

Preheat the oven (190-200 degrees) and lightly grease the pan with vegetable oil. Place the salmon on the baking sheet with the skin up and send it to bake on 4-5 minutes. Place the pan with the fish closer to the top, not in the middle.

Then turn the fish upside down and brush the fillet with citrus marinade (1 tablespoon of marinade per 1 slice of salmon). Send the fish back to the oven (it’s better to put it into the grill mode) and bake salmon there 6-8 minutes until ready.
Step 5: Serve the Citrus Salmon.

“Citrus salmon” is served hot, thanks to honey, the fillet pieces acquire a glazed gloss on top and look very attractive on the plate, but taste great! Serve salmon with strawberry and avocado salsa and a light side dish.
Enjoy your meal!
Recipe Tips:
- Salmon marinated in citruses can be grilled by pouring marinade on top.
