- large rabbit 1 pc. (about 2 kg)
- onion 1 large
- garlic 1 head
- vermouth 1/2 cup
- olive oil to taste
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- green peas 1/2 cup
- Main ingredients: Rabbit, Pea, Onion, Garlic
Wash the rabbit and cut it into portions. Heat the olive oil in a cauldron and fry the rabbit until golden brown. Remove the meat from the cauldron and set aside.
Cut the large onion into rings and fry. Add the cloves of garlic and fry for about 1 more minute. Lay on top the pieces of the roasted rabbit. Salt and pepper. Add vermouth and water. Stew under the lid for 2 hours. Then add green peas and simmer another 5 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes.
